We try our best to stay on schedule to minimize your office wait time. Because SKIN Specialists provides many types of services, various circumstances may lengthen the time allocated for a procedure. Emergency cases can also arise and cause delays. We appreciate your understanding and patience.

FOR ESTABLISHED PATIENTS: Every attempt will be made to see you that day if you have pain or experience an emergency.
FOR NEW PATIENTS: We will do our best to accommodate you as soon as possible but also maintain a waiting list that allows us to offer more immediate substitute appointments whenever a cancellation occurs.
COSMETIC & ESTHETIC APPOINTMENTS (Executive Park Only - MedSpa)
A deposit will be taken for all Cosmetic/Esthetic services at time of scheduling.
ARRIVAL
LATE, RESCHEDULE OR CANCELLATION
NO SHOW FOR APPOINTMENTS
We do ask that our patients contact our office if they are unable to make their scheduled appointment so that we may open that time for another patient.
FOR ESTABLISHED PATIENTS: If you have missed three appointments and did not call to cancel these appointments in advance, we cannot schedule another appointment for you. Please call the office to make arrangements for alternate dermatology care.
FOR NEW PATIENTS: If you have missed two initial appointments and do not call to cancel these appointments in advance, we cannot schedule another appointment for you.
COSMETIC & ESTHETIC NO SHOW APPOINTMENTS: If patient fails to show up for their appointment without contacting our office within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment, the deposit given at initial scheduling will be forfeited.
If patient fails to show up for their complementary service, the service will be forfeited.
INSURANCE INFORMATION
SKIN Specialists makes every effort to provide you with the finest care and the most convenient financial options. To accomplish this, we work together with you to maximize your insurance reimbursement for covered procedures. If you have any problems or questions, please ask our staff. They are well informed and up to date and can be reached by phone at:
Please bring your insurance information and any referrals required by your insurance at the time of your appointment so that we can expedite reimbursement. If you do not have this information, we will reschedule your appointment to a time when the information is available, which avoids the need for full payment at the time of service.
SKIN Specialists is not responsible for obtaining your referral(s) from your doctor(s). If there is a question regarding a referral, please ask us about it when you make your appointment or at the time you arrive.
We will make a copy of your insurance card(s) when you arrive in the office. If you do not present your insurance card(s) at the time of your visit, or if your treatment with us in not covered under your insurance plan, you will be required to pay for your office visit at the time of service. We accept Visa, Discover, American Express, and Mastercard.
Copay are expected to be paid at the time of your appointment. If your insurance plan has a deductible a deposit of $500 will be required at the time of your visit. After the Insurance plan is billed and paid their payment if any part of your deposit remains a refund will be issued. If your Insurance plan has a co-insurance a deposit of $200 will be required at the time of your visit. After the Insurance plan is billed and paid their payment if any part of your deposit remains a refund will be issued.
Our staff has been trained to understand many insurance company policies, but they DO NOT have all the answers about your specific benefits. Please contact your insurance company for specific questions about coverage.
BILLING
We deliver the finest care at the most reasonable cost to our patients; therefore, payment is due at the time service is rendered. If you have questions regarding your account, please contact us at:

Many times, a simple telephone call will clear any misunderstandings. We will send you a monthly statement. Most insurance companies will respond within four to six weeks. Please call our office if your statement does not reflect your insurance payment within that time frame. Any remaining balance after your insurance has paid is your responsibility. Your prompt remittance is appreciated.
PAYMENT, COPAY, DEPOSITS AND FEES
We accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard, VISA, bank checks, and cash.
Financing is also available for qualified applicants through CareCredit, which offers special financing and low monthly payment options with no-pre-payment penalties for cosmetic and esthetic services greater than $200
Copays are due at the time of service. A $10 surcharge will be added if your copay is not paid at that time.
A deposit will be taken for Cosmetic/Esthetic services at the time of the appointments. This deposit will be forfeited for any No-Show appointment.
PAST DUE BALANCES
If your account balance becomes past due, appropriate action will be taken to collect the amount due. If you have issues that prevent you from paying the full balance due, please contact our billing staff so that we can help you find a solution.
The fee for each check returned for insufficient funds is $25. This fee will be automatically charged to your account when your check is returned by the bank.
PRESCRIPTION REFILLS
Prescription refills maybe requested by calling our office at:

Prescriptions will be called in to your pharmacy within 24 hours. However, since your chart must be reviewed prior to call in, renewals will not be made to pharmacies after hours or on weekends.
If it has been more than a year since you were last seen in our office, you will need to call our offices to schedule an appointment.
MILITARY DISCOUNT
As thanks to military members and family members for their daily sacrifices to secure our freedom, SKIN Specialists honored to offer a 20% discount on cosmetic/esthetic services and retail products. Please present a valid United States Uniformed Services Identification and Privilege Card; Active or Reserve Duty Card; or identification such as a VA health care card, VA issued ID Card, state driver’s license with a veteran’s designation, a Veterans Organization Card or discharge paperwork. This offer is valid anytime and may not be combined with other offers. The discount does not apply to gift certificate purchases.
