Liquid Lift

Sculptra® Aesthetic, RADIESSE®, JUVÉDERM®, Restylane® BOTOX® COSMETIC and DYSPORT®   

A Liquid Lift is the lifting and re-contouring of the aging face. Dermal fillers are used in combination to smooth wrinkles and restore volume under the eyes, cheeks, lips, temples, and jowls. As a result, wrinkles are reduced and the natural contour of a youthful face is restored.

WHAT PRODUCTS ARE USED?  

Dermal filler options include volumizers such as Sculptra and Radiesse; and Juvederm and Restylane products that contain hyaluronic acid products. Injectable neurotoxins such as Botox Cosmetic and Dysport are often used in conjunction with dermal fillers to relax dynamic wrinkles, provide added lift and help make the effects last longer by relaxing the downward pull of the muscles. An individual's unique facial characteristics, skin conditions and correction needs will determine which products and procedures are used for superior outcomes.       

WHAT CORRECTIONS CAN BE ACHIEVED?  

Dermal fillers can be used to smooth the nasolabial folds, called smile lines, and the marionette lines below the corners of the mouth; and lift the downward turn of the lip corners, called mouth frowns. In addition, dermal fillers can be used to increase lip fullness, fill vertical lip lines and add definition around the lips. Flattened or sunken cheekbones can be filled, which helps lift the jaw line. Fill added to the temples addresses the hollows that come with aging and lifts the jowl area. Fillers can fill in the deep line between the chin and lips, called the mental crease, which develops over time. Finally, fillers can be used to fill depressed skin in scars.  Injectable neurotoxins visibly smooth and soften moderate to severe frown lines between your brows, called glabellar lines, and crow's feet around the eyes. They can also help relax facial lines and wrinkles on the chin and forehead, and the bunny lines that develop across the top of the nose, marionette lines, smile lines and vertical lip lines. Benefit is also seen in treating the mental crease and the orange peel skin texture that appears on the chin with age.   

BENEFIT DURATION

The results will vary, from six months to two years, depending on the product(s) used and the degree of correction needed in the first instance, and can be extended with touch up procedures. Benefit from hyaluronic acid products such as Juvederm and Restylane, should be expected to last from 6-12 months. Of the volumizers, benefit from Radiesse should last 12-18 months and from Sculptra 18-24 months. When combined with neurotoxins, the benefits of dermal fillers can be extended. Benefit from fillers will last longer when injected in static areas such as the cheekbones and temples; and less in areas of dynamic movement, such as the nasolabial folds, marionette lines and vertical lip lines. Benefits from neurotoxins usually last three to five months, at which time another injection is required.
